It is essential to keep memory alive to nourish our thought. Luca Beltrami is among the most important Italian figures in the history of architecture and building preservation, from the end of the nineteenth century, until well into the twentieth century. Amedeo Bellini, professor emeritus of Architectural Restoration, the greatest expert on Luca Beltrami, at the conference given on 13 March 2024 at the Braidense Library in Milan, masterfully outlined the concept of history that underlies Beltrami’s work and that has been acted upon the restoration of the Castello Sforzesco of Milan.
