The book edited by Ornella Selvafolta outlines the work of one of the main historicist architects, working in Milan between the Nineteenth and the Twentieth Century, to whom we owe buildings of high architectural quality.

In the works by Arpesani are synthetized the debate on the typological issues, the application of the new building technologies and materials, the reinterpretation of the decorations derived from the historical repertoire, also thanks to the artisans masterly works for the buildings finishes.
